Breaking News!

The chief inspector and scientists arrived in school at precisely 9.17 to find the school in an emergency assembly.  They had arrived later than usual, due to the investigation of another unusual occurrence at a school in Bristol.  The harassed looking scientists were confronted with a cacophony of children’s voices and a concerned Mr. Evans.  Children from each class were selected to investigate alongside the professionals and once again come up with theories to what has happened.

During the weekend of the 7th and 8th February 2015, something strange has happened at Bournville Junior School in Birmingham.  A school steeped in history and built by George Cadbury over 100 years ago, these strange occurrences have rocked the local community and have instigated a full investigation by the ‘Inspection team for Strange Occurrences in Schools’.

An investigation tent has been set up in the school grounds.  Within it is an unusual mound of various non toxic materials, crater like in appearance.  Smoke billows from the tent, Local Police have been informed of the occurrence and are on hand to secure the site and reassure families.

The crater is changing constantly emitting low frequencies that can be heard across the school site and into the local streets.  Light is penetrating the mist and occasional pluming smoke.  Scientists are busy checking all vapours for toxic gases, none have been found.

We are positive that the school is entirely safe for the young people that attend and the local community and we are seeking the assistance of the whole local community and experts from further afield in our investigations.

Check the ‘Blog – Progress of the Investigation’ page for the latest updates.  Comment, be vigilant and support the young people of Bournville Junior School as we continue to ‘Look Deeper’

Weird thing have been going on. We had a press conference in the hall and there was a MORSE CODE ON THE ARM OF MISS WILLIAMS!!! It was very freaky and the mound is spreading EFFECTS! The number 7 is involved and I think this has something to do with Cadbury’s because Josh found 7 1 pound coins and Thea got given a sheet for her piano with 7 C’s on it and on Monday the steam from the mound wa red and blue and red and blue make purple like Cadbury’s weeeiiiirrrddd.😐 The investigation is getting Freaky and Confusing and Exciting. I’m looking forward to tomorrow for more of the investigation ITS WEIRD AND EXCITING AT THE SAME TIME!!!

We are watching great british bake off and we are wondering if all the disasters are linked to the investigations 😄😄 especially the collapse of Lulu’s cake … Just like the mound in the tent !

Wow – that sounds so exciting I wonder what it could be! You are all so lucky, being a good scientist is all about detective work. So make sure you take lots of pictures and write about enerything you see, hear, smell and feel.

Maybe the different coloured smoke was an alien doing burps and he forgot to take the wrapper off the chocolate before he ate it!

This morning the strangest thing happened in our house. Matthew was first to get up and dressed and was standing with his coat and shoes on desperate to go to school at 8.30! This has NEVER happened before. Could it be due to the smoke from the mound again? If so, I wonder if we could harness its power somehow?

Because all of this stuff is linked to Cadbury’s why don’t we try dropping a bar of Cadbury’s chocolate into the mound and see what happens?

I thought I should let you know that my son, Josh in 5hp has loved being part of this amazing investigation! He wants to be a scientist and has always been creative so this project ticks many boxes for him. Josh has been so inspired by the past weeks events, he has even been sleep talking about the mound…….”it is definitely the mound and the mound says it is moundtastic”…..maybe he was sharing a message from beyond! Thank you.

Just to say I think it’s been a brilliant idea to shake up the normal school week with this ‘event’! Bryony (5HP) has really enjoyed learning about volcanoes and the creative projects associated with it. Lots of talk about whether it’s real or not. As a parent I just want to say thank you to everyone involved (school & ‘strange occurrences’) for putting this even on – I’m sure its been a lot of work. I think I’m almost over the shock of arriving to school Monday to find fire services & the police in the playground!
